It all began in 1930, when Gioanin purchased the Casetta, the house where we grew up, and the surrounding vineyards. This was the first nucleus of the current company, which then slowly grew to its current size and became what is now called Vigneti di Ettore. Approximately 19 hectares of vineyards in the heart of Valpolicella Classica with many traditional varieties grown organically such as Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella and more forgotten varieties such as Turchetta, Pelara, Recantina and Spigamonti which, although less known and certainly more delicate in management, they are however fundamental for the complexity and elegance of the wine. The goal is to obtain elegant and agile wines, rather than muscular ones, wines that speak through their aroma and colours.
