We are Valeria and Gaspare, life partners and owners of the PitanBeer microbrewery, we produce beer following a 360° supply chain. For us, producing beer is a continuous discovery of all the potential (taste, aroma, perfume) of the various basic and special malts, and of the many varieties of hops with all their facets. In Sicily it is absolutely normal and obvious to have to do with good wine, so producing good beer is a challenge that we must face every day. But with our passion, our courage and our stubbornness we manage to face. We try to recreate the most important styles of beers, with great attention to the origins. So in our beers only water, malt, hops, yeast and a lot of passion. Nothing else added. The production takes place in Favara, with a very simple system with three vats which is the enlarged photocopy of the homebrewers system. Beers like ours, unfiltered and unpasteurized, with top quality ingredients (I would even say zero km because they come from our crops), strictly fresh hops in bloom, are those beers that find a certain refinement, for the most demanding customers which after all, in addition to the good, seeks authenticity. The brewery was born in 2019 after many years of experimentation, planning and study. The name PitanBeer: Pitan is the anagram of Pinta (the right amount to enjoy a good beer), which coincides with our abbreviated surname "Pitan..za". The symbol chosen for our logo is the Moon, a natural satellite that orbits the earth influencing the life cycle of human and vegetable living beings, including cereal crops. Its proper name is sometimes used as a synonym for satellite even for celestial bodies that orbit other planets. In fact we have used the name of the moon of other planets for each type of beer, associating them with the type.
